“Inconceivable,” Alice Cutler’s story of her and her husband’s (Vince Giovanni, also the very talented director) years-long efforts to have a baby, was heartbreaking yet filled with humor that prompted many smiles and often bursts of laughter. She took the audience vividly through their painful and sometimes dehumanizing infertility treatments. She deftly brought us into her world not only as a patient but also as a vulnerable but strong woman, enhanced by winsome images from her past projected on a screen. Finally, Alice confronts the most difficult decision of her life, one faced frequently by many couples but rarely discussed. Her resolution brings the show to a poignant conclusion and raises awareness of the trauma caused by terminations of pregnancy for medical reasons (TFMR). You will laugh, cry, learn. You won’t forget.
