“Manning’s Madhouse” is an emotional, spiritual and psychological romp through Alice’s childhood, growing up in the 60's in Cleveland, Ohio. Life was at times traumatic, and hilarious. Alice combines memories with historical events, while revealing the sibling relationship that shaped her life.

Three women in prison for life for murder are befriended by a prison volunteer. Through their dialogue we discover the tangled web of abuse, addiction, and love that lies at the heart of their stories.

This solo show is a personal story of protecting a daughter, losing faith, and navigating family conflict that combines storytelling and history to explore how our beliefs came to be and how they impact our world – but in a (mostly) funny way.
