CHARLIE MOUNT (Director, Playwright, as Robert Bell) – Off Broadway Directing credits OUR MAN IN SANTIAGO by Mark Wilding and CONVERSATIONS WITH AN AVERAGE JOE. LA directing credits include THE GODDAMN COUPLE DOWN THE HALL…OH, AND MERRY CHRISTMAS, GASLIGHT, SEASCAPE, THE FANTASTICKS (with Lee Meriwether), the Ovation nominated WAITING FOR LEFTY, WAITING IN THE WINGS (with Ovation nominated Betty Garrett), his own plays THE LEATHER APRON CLUB and AGAINST THE WALL, and the original production of ACTING – THE FIRST SIX LESSONS with Beau Bridges and Emily Bridges. Producing credits include Jim Beaver’s play VERDIGRIS, THE LION IN WINTER with Jim Beaver as King Henry II, the West Coast premiere of REQUIEM FOR A HEAVYWEIGHT, and, along with co-producer Ray Bradbury and his Pandemonium Theatre Company, oversaw Ray’s production of FALLING UPWARD with Pat Harrington, Jr. Other plays by Charlie include TRUMPETS AND TABLE TIPPING, ONE INCH TALLER and MARTIANS – AN EVENING WITH RAY BRADBURY, co-written with Jeff G Rack, a play in which Charlie portrayed Ray Bradbury (produced at the Whitefire Theatre). Jeff G. Rack and Charlie are the Artistic Directors of Arcane Theatreworks which created the award winning dramatic serial podcast THE MYSTERIOUS CARD as well as their new podcast TALES TO TREMBLE BY. Charlie is also a professional magician who was featured on the TV show MAGIC’S GREATEST ILLUSIONS, THE REGIS PHILBIN SHOW, THE MTV BIG SHOW, EVERYDAY WITH JOAN LUNDEN and THE ARCH CAMPBELL SHOW, and was a ten year regular at New York’s famed COMEDY CELLAR. Charlie performs regularly at THE MAGIC CASTLE in Hollywood where he also teaches in their MAGIC UNIVERSITY. Charlie is married to Arden Teresa Lewis whose Emmy Award winning civil rights documentary LEVELING LINCOLN is available on PBS. www.charliemount.com
