MY DEAD UNCLE’S PORN COLLECTION explores family secrets from an unusual perspective. It’s the story of what happens when an abuse survivor becomes the in-case-of-emergency person for the person who violated them as a child. Why does she do it? Partly out of charity. (You don’t just leave a sick, elderly relative hanging out there.) Partly out of self-interest. (She owns half his house.)
Brady approaches a sensitive subject with alacrity and compassion. MY DEAD UNCLE’S PORN COLLECTION is about bringing long-held family secrets to light. It’s about dealing with the damage done by a dysfunctional family and coming through it with grace and humor. Yes, humor. It’s okay to laugh.
