one person show world premiere

The Solo Show formerly known as Mage Lynn the Changeling.

Once upon a time, there was a changeling named Mage Lynn. Mage Lynn the Changeling. She was an imaginative child with an extraordinary imagination. After becoming shunned and outcast, she is left alone with no friends, no talents, and no control over her emotions (or bodily secretions). Desperate to find joy and acceptance, she embarks on an absurd quest through movie musicals, game shows, and even cartoons to find her happy ending.

Susan Sassi is a comedy writer, stand-up comedian, and professional Cathy impersonator living in Los Angeles. Her previous theatre productions, Victorian Courtin and Zombies, Outroverted, and Rennaissance have sold out at the Hollywood Fringe, Stage-Left Theatre, IO West Scripted Comedy Festival, UCB LA Spank Showcase, and NY International Theatre Festival, for which she was nominated for Best Solo Show.

Her comedy scripts have received recognition from Austin Film Fest, Women In Film, Emerging Writers, CineStory, Fresh Voices, The ‘Breakk’, Stage 32, Genre Screenwriting Contest, and ScreenCraft TV Writing Contest. You can find her satire in McSweeney’s, The Belladonna, Weekly Humorist, Slackjaw, Widget, Robot Butt, Jane Austen’s Wastebasket, Monocle of Higher Education, Little Old Lady Comedy, Greener Pastures, and Platypus News.

Her web series Cathy In Real Life, a parody of the lovable chocoholic Cathy Comic strip, was an official selection of multiple film festivals, including Dances with Films, CineFest, IFS, WRPN, LA Comedy Fest, and Etheria Film Night.

Most importantly, Susan is originally from New Jersey and a proud helicopter cat mom.
